Dance Foundation Newsletter - May 2025

We hope everyone is enjoying the creativity of the show rehearsals.  It is very different from syllabus lessons but it is such a great experience for all students and they all seem to be having lots of fun in the process.  We know it can be a little intense at times but everyone is working extremely hard and we cannot wait for you to see them on the stage again and for some of you for the first time!!!

May Half-Term

Now that we are a bit further in to the choreography of the show dances we would like to use the planned May Half-Term classes as an opportunity to begin to piece together the show.  It will be a great opportunity for the students to see what the rest of the dance school has been doing and give us a chance to see how it is all coming together and what needs doing for the final half term leading up to show week.

Giulie from Leap Gear will be popping down during this week to try on some costumes, and Miss Charlotte will also be coming to watch to start planning our lighting ready for when we arrive at the theatre!!

Please see the following times for May Half-Term for all students, whether they are taking part in the show or not.

Drawing Competition

The students did some incredible pieces of art work for our competition for the programme for Alice in Wonderland, and it would be wonderful to include some again this year.  If you would like to enter the competition please bring your entries to us by Monday 2nd June and our fabulous Paula (who does all our poster art work, logos and signage) will judge the top entries to be printed in our Hansel & Gretel programme.

Show Tickets

Show tickets will go on sale directly from the Princes Theatre on Monday 2nd June.  If you are looking to purchase more than your allocated 8 tickets and would like to guarantee you can all be seated together please let us know, we will arrange for a priority ticket sale for you.

Not long to go now, we can’t quite believe where the weeks are going!!

Watch out for our next newsletter with all the important dates for the show.
